WEST VIRGINIA BRANCH WV BRANCH CIRCLES AND PROJECTS The Jean Laupp Thomas Circle continues its long support of the Branch Project, The Kings Daughters Child Care Center in Wheeling, WV. The Center was founded in 1898 and has continuously served the community since that time. Services are provided on a sliding fee scaled based on family size and household income. Special appreciation has been expressed to Lu Bailey, Esther Weeks, Martha Plusquellec and members of the Madeline Rodgers Circle for their contributions and nearly fifty years of service as volunteers and board members. The IOKDS was able to continue major financial support of the Center in 2007 through an extremely generous gift from the New Jersey Branch.

The First United Methodist Church Circle, formed in 1911, is our oldest active circle. They lead the branch in their consistent support of all International Departments. Through members contributions, Health Career Scholarship, Student Ministries, Around the World and North American Indians departments are remembered and supported each year.
Circle of Grace members held a reception to honor Chautauqua Scholars. Its members take great joy in the fact that even a small group can accomplish much when affiliated with The Kings Daughters and Sons. The WV Branch has rededicated itself to the Chautauqua Scholarship program, recruiting students and contributing to its funds, knowing lifelong memories are created and lives are changed as a result. An annual garage sale raises money for local and international projects.
One Heart Circle is our newest circle organized in 2009. This group of first cousins enjoy spending time together, sharing devotions, and sending CARE packages and encouragement to soldiers serving in Afghanistan.
Join us! If you know anyone in our area that would like more information on the circles of the WV Branch and our activities, please contact Beth Fanta, WV Branch President, 304-295-0032.
