NEW BEGINNINGS

snowflakesHere we are at the beginning of 2007! HAPPY NEW YEAR JUNIORS!!!

We have two new beginnings in our Junior Department. Congratulations to our newest Junior Circles: Gerry Riley Junior Circle in Madison, Indiana and the Willing Workers Junior Circle in Mexico, Missouri!!!! Way to go Juniors!! I am so proud of each of you.
To those existing Circles, let's see if you can increase your membership this year. I would love to report new members for 007. Won't you help me with this?

As Junior Members, you can work with the Senior Members to help those who need help, visit those in nursing homes, make Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes all year, recycle pop tabs for Ronald McDonald Houses, etc. Together we can accomplish so much. Together we can reach for the stars!

THOUGHT FOR THE MONTH

" Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look at what they can do when they stick together." -- Vesta M. Kelly

craft for the monthCRAFT FOR THE MONTH

My niece, Ashley, an Ohio Junior Member, made us a beautiful candle for Christmas and she gave me permission to share it with you.
Take a glass jar (Mason jars work well). Fill it 1/3 full with sand. Place a pillar candle in the sand. Place a few colored, decorative stones on top of the sand around the candle. On the outside of the jar, hot glue cinnamon sticks and tie with twine. This is the perfect gift to make for someone special!!! Have fun.

NEWS FROM "THE BRANCH" NEWSLETTER - TEXAS

Cleburne Charters New Junior Circle

The Sunshine Sisters Circle was chartered on October 26, 2006. Lend A Hand Circle sponsored the newest junior circle along with Hearts of Gold Circle.

The Sunshine Sisters consists of 9 members who are King's Daughters. legacies. This wonderful group of 5th graders are filled with the spirit and ready to work! Their first project was taking snack donations to the Johnson County Child Advocacy Center. They received a wonderful tour of the facility by Tammy King, the director. They are donating gifts to Cleburne City Union's Goodfellows and are helping pack the Goodfellow boxes. They also filled precious Christmas stockings to be included with some of the boxes. We hope that you will attend the State Convention this spring and meet these wonderful young ladies!

The members are: Kennedy Styron, Alli Suitt, Rachel Rugeley, Taylor Hart, Tessa Harmon, Sara Hill, Kennedy Foster, Chrislynn Collins, and Caroline Benner. Sponsors are Luanne Bailey and Stevie Berg from Lend a Hand Circle and Kayce Suitt and Angela Dusten from Hearts of Gold
Circle.
